Our Company History
Trailer Equipment, Inc. was incorporated and started operations in 1985 in Grandville, MI. with one salesman, office clerk and a mechanic. In 1989, the company moved into it’s present location at 1701 Steele, SW, Grand Rapids, MI due to expansion and customer needs. Presently, we have 45 employees, 24 service bays, 4 mobile service trucks, half a million dollars in parts inventory and millions in new and used trailer inventory for sale or lease.

We have 24 service bays on over 16 acres of land. Our 4 service trucks and 50 employees work hard to help you become as efficient as possible. Our goal is to provide speedy same day turn around on service.
Our large parts inventory on hand allows us to meet your demands for you to keep your trailers on the road. Our 6 person parts staff are very knowledgeable in determining the correct parts needed to solve your problems.
We have the largest new and used inventory on hand in West Michigan, averaging 400 to 500 new and used at all times.
Our rental and leasing availability of 2000 plus units allows us to be the most diversified in West Michigan!
We have 5 tractors for pick up and delivery of service work, provide shuttle service of your trailers or delivery of rentals. In additions to our main location, we also have a tractor located in Spring Lake on 5 acres of available yard space.
